Our First Day on the Job

Well, I thought it is important to write about our First Day on the Job! In other words, our first day selling crafts as C4CO! I know we wrote a little bit about it in our previous post, but this post is going to be more detailed and is going to tell much more! Alright, So the day before we were going to sell our crafts we finished making so many crafts, to finish stocking up our inventory. We stayed up late, woke up early and only had about 4 - 5 hours of sleep. But it didn't affect us at all! We were still happy and ready to start selling crafts, and ready raise money for those precious orphans in China! So for our first 20 minutes of being open, we didn't have any customers! We only had people ask,  "What are you selling?" and people say, "Oh, that is so nice!" or "Maybe we will stop by later." And yes we were a little disappointed. But then we stopped and prayed to God that we would have lots and lots of customers! And immediately after I prayed, a person came and bought a Duct tape rose! We prayed throughout the whole day! We were so thankful for God providing customers for us! And I must say our Duct tape roses were extremely popular! We actually sold all of our roses and we had to make more! We sold purses, roses, wallets, bracelets, and more! And we even had a My Doll and Me set. Which was a Purse that was normal size, and a purse that looked the same but was Doll size! That sold quickly! Later in the day, a group of little girls came over to our stand, at that time we only had one rose left, And they wanted to get 4 roses! They got the one we had left and the rest of them got to pick out 2 specific colors they wanted us to make their roses in. They stayed and watched us make them. They were so sweet that we taught them how to make the roses, and we gave them each a sheet explaining how to make the roses. So that was our first time making an specific item for a specific person! It was like an order! After they left we said to each-other, "Wow! That was our first real order!" Yes, I will admit we were excited about that. So towards the end of the day a man came up to our stand and looked at everything we had for sale. He made a donation and we found out he was a christian too! He asked us, " So, are you going to be missionaries when you grow up?" and I answered back, "Hmmmm, I don't know. Maybe. We are just trying to do all we can to help others and to tell others about God right now, where we are." And he replied, "That's nice! Here I have something for you." and he handed us a Christian track explaining how Eternal Life is a Free Gift and how to Become a Christian. That's when we found out he was a Christian too. And just to be sure, I said, " Oh, your a Christian too? That's great!" and he answered back, "Yes!" So we were just so happy to know that there was another person telling people how to become Christians! So we had a very successful day of selling! And we are so thankful that we are able to raise money for those precious orphans in China! We are also very thankful that God provided a way for us to use our God-given gifts of creativity to help the orphans in China and to show God's love. We cannot wait to see what else God has in store for us! Thanks for reading, and God Bless!

How we got started...

My name is Isabella, My sister's name is Helaina, and my cousin's name is Michaela. Alright, Well this is how we got started: Me, My sister, and My Cousin are very talented in making friendship bracelets, Purses made out of Candy wrappers, Duct tape items like: Purses, Wallets, Roses, Bows, And so much more! So, we decided to sell our homemade crafts at a yard-sale to raise money to donate to an orphanage in China. Some people ask "Why China?" well the answer is: China is on our hearts! My family has recently adopted a little girl from China. The money we raise is going to go to the orphanage that we adopted my sister from. So we were up late into the night making lots and lots of crafts to stock up our inventory. Then we woke up very early to start selling! And yes, we only had about 4 - 5 hours of sleep but it was worth it! So we were 'open' from 7:45am - 12:30pm! We had so many customers! It was fantastic! We raised around $120.00! So that was a summary on how we got started. And soon we will post more posts about how Crafts For China's Orphans is coming along. We cannot wait to see what God has in store for us! Let us know if you are interested in Purchasing/Ordering any of these Crafts. Pictures of the crafts will be posted soon. Contact us at Craftsforchinasorphans@gmail.com ! Thanks so much for reading! God Bless! :)
