Make a difference for ONE!

As you might have read in our last post, my mom has an advocacy blog called Stop For Snowdrops and it is amazing!

Well, she posted a post about this little orphan named Linny.....

(Sigh) Our hearts all broke into a million pieces! My entire family grieved when we found out her story!

She yearns to be loved!

This is an emergency, Linny is 3 1/2 years old and only 19lbs...she is weak! She NEEDS the love of a family. She NEEDS food. She NEEDS loving attention and the right medical attention!

When you read her story, we don't want you to feel 'bad' for her but do nothing about it!

She has an account on Reece's Rainbow where you can donate money to specifically her adoption fund!

You can donate $20 or you can donate $200

Make a difference for ONE!

(Donating $20 simply means not having your weekly Starbucks drink this month)

This world is going to try to tell you that you shouldn't do anything to help. Don't listen to that! That is not right!

God tells us in James:

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."
James 1:27

If you have to the choice between helping a helpless orphan or spending more money on material items, the choice should NOT be hard!

You have the chance to help turn her frown upside down!

Those eyes! That face!

                                                             She is SO BEAUTIFUL!

BEAUTIFUL!

We wanted to do something! Anything!

So, on Saturday, July 13th 2013, we got together, gathered up our inventory, and headed over to the Family Christian Bookstore. We set up and almost immediately we had customers!

It was awesome! We were able to raise so much money for Linny!

Halfway through the day we decided that we should donate ALL the money that we had in our C4CO fund to Linny, not just what we earned that day.

God really blessed us! We had so many great customers! We could really feel God's hand over our mission!

We are not sure how much money we raised, just on Saturday, but we counted up all of our C4CO money and we donated it to Linny. We were able to donate $370!

Before

There was $261.90

After

Now there is $594.90!!

We are SO happy that we were able to donate! And we aren't finished!

Think about this: If 1500 of you each gave $20, her entire adoption fund would be covered! That is $30,000!

I challenge you, YES YOU! If your eyes are on this screen and if you are reading this, then I challenge you to give at least $20. And, tell your friends and family to donate at least $20.

~ While we were selling a beautiful butterfly flew over to our table and would not leave us alone. It landed on us, our table, and our crafts. Then I realized that, that butterfly was a sign, from God, of hope and redemption for Linny! Later that day, after we finished selling and we were back at home, we saw the butterfly again. It flew circles around us and landed on us. That butterfly was God reminding us that he will never leave us nor forsaken us. He is with every orphan. Every person. And He is with Linny! She has HOPE! ~

We were able to snap some pictures of it the second time we saw it!

The Linny butterfly!

...to China...

SO...one of my really good friends left for China a couple days ago! She is going on a missions trip and once we heard about it we were so excited for her!

She has been there for about six days now!

We also were able to give her lots of clothes that we went out and bought, so she can give them to the orphans!

She is going to be visiting an orphanage and helping to care for the orphans and she will be able to personally give the orphans the clothes that we gave to her!

One afternoon the Crafts for China's Orphans girls got together and went on a little shopping trip to get clothes for the babies! And let me tell you...it is SO MUCH FUN shopping for baby clothes. They are so so so adorable! It is so hard not to buy everything!

Again, I am so thankful that my friend gets to hand carry them over there!!!

If you could please pray that she has a wonderful and SAFE time in China!

                                                       Thank you!

Yes...SO MANY CLOTHES!

Thanks for reading and God bless!

Orphan Care Day!!!!!!

Hey everybody! We had an Orphan care day! We started the day with five hours of selling at the Family Christian Bookstore!

We had a fantastic day of selling! We raised even more money for the orphans in China! And, with our proceeds, we sent $350 off to help the orphanage and to the Half the Sky foundation in China!

Also, we spent $100 on the care package and its going to be $50 to send the care package! :) If you do not know what Half the Sky is, then go to their website, which you can find on the side of our blog.

So, as we were saying, we took some of the money we raised that day to buy items for the orphans in the Maonan Social Welfare Institute orphanage in China!

We had SO MUCH FUN! After we were done selling we spent two hours shopping for baby items for the Care package! Our budget for the Care Package was $100.00! And we spent $1.31 less then our budget! Yes, you heard us right! We spent $98.69 on baby items! We got everything from Clothes to puzzles to toys to lotion! We put everything in the care package and its going to the orphans in China right now!

We are so happy that we have all these amazing opportunity's to help the orphans in China! Once we get pictures of the orphans receiving their care package we WILL POST THEM! But for right now, Here are the pictures of the Care package!

Thanks so much everybody who purchased an item, donated, and prayed for Crafts for China's Orphans!  We are so thankful that we can help the orphans in China while doing what we love! Making crafts! We can't wait to see what else God is going to do through us and Crafts for China's Orphans! Thanks for reading everybody! God bless! :)
